Dear Families,

Today we have received further clarification in regards to the recent Provincial Health Officer (PHO) that was put into effect as of Saturday Nov 7 at 10pm.

TRAVEL RELATED TO SPORT

No person may travel to or from the affected area or between the regions of the Fraser Health Authority and the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority for any sport related activity, including practice, training, games or tournaments, unless they are an identified by Canadian Sports Institute Pacific as a high performance athlete affiliated with an accredited provincial or national sports organization and are already training in the affected area and subject to the safety guidelines of their provincial sports organization.

For the NSWC this applies to players within our Minor Hockey and hockey programs that reside outside of the Vancouver Coastal region. Those players are not allowed to practice, train, or play games at our facilities. This does not apply to coaches within the NSWC.

The cities within the Vancouver Coastal Health region are as follows:

• North Vancouver
• West Vancouver
• Squamish
• Sunshine Coast
• Vancouver
• Whistler
• Richmond

Anyone who does not live in one of the above cities are being requested to abstain from entering the NSWC until noon on November 23rd.

We understand and empathize the frustration our members my be feeling due to this health order. We want to ensure all our members that we are continuously working with Vancouver Coastal Health, ViaSport, BC Hockey & PCAHA to ensure we are doing our part in keeping our members, players, coaches and staff safe during these challenging times.

A reminder that our current Phase II protocols are in place with the addition of todays update regarding travel between health regions. It is imperative that we all continue to work together to ensure rules are being followed or else our entire facility and hockey program will be put at risk, along with everyone’s health and safety.
