Pickleball LP
Come Play Pickleball With Us
The North Shore Winter Club will be adding a hugely popular sport by constructing 2 dedicated pickleball courts.
We’re excited to be in the process of establishing a thriving, diverse new sport that enables us to better utilize the Club’s facilities. Coming soon are two dedicated indoor pickleball courts and two shared courts, with the two new courts replacing the existing squash courts. It’s hoped that the new courts will be a huge benefit for members.
About Pickleball
The growth of pickleball in Canada and the USA has significantly surpassed the numbers in squash and racquetball. The game is played both indoors and out on a court the same size as a badminton doubles court using paddles, a plastic perforated ball and a net that is two inches lower than a tennis net.
Pickleball is an addictively fun and yet challenging game that can be quickly enjoyed by all ages and abilities. We expect to see pickleball playing groups grow quickly, more lessons and clinics being offered, and we even expect an increase membership enquiries.
More information on launch dates will be provided in the coming weeks. Work on this project began in December 2020, and we are striving to have it completed early 2021.
